Hyakki Yoichi

The setting in Hyakki Yoichi is a moonlit Japanese shrine, with torii gates and paper lanterns aside the 5x3 grid. The reels are wrapped in old parchment, and the symbols are a mix of supernatural Yokai Creatures and Card Royals carved into wooden plaques. Tengu and Kappa are the two highest-paying regular icons, followed by Kitsune and Oni, and then a handful of smaller yokai below those on the paytable. Card Royals J through A are at the bottom.

Bets go from 0.30 to 150 per spin across 243 Ways to Win. There’s a Wild restricted to the 3 center reels, and a Free Games feature that includes an Increasing Multiplier. It starts at 1x and climbs by 1x every time a Free Spin produces a win.

Scatter Payouts

The Scatter is a red Oni mask on a torii gate, and apart from being the gateway into Free Games, it pays on its own too – 20x for 5, 10x for 4, and 2x for 3. These payouts are awarded regardless of the symbols’ positions on the grid.

The Wild in Hyakki Yoichi is a blue guardian lion creature that can only appear on reels 2, 3, and 4. It substitutes for all symbols except the Scatter.
