NEW GAME
You know those old arcade games where you control a cannon firing at fish swimming across the screen? Dragon Slayer is the fantasy version. Same idea, but instead of fish, you’re dealing with Goblins, Gargoyles, Orcs, and a whole menagerie of Dragons. You have the same bullet-bouncing mechanic, too. If you miss, shots ping off the play area edges until they collide with a creature, and how you angle a shot counts for more than you’d think.
It’s multiplayer, with three rooms to pick from. Stakes can be as low as 0.01 per shot at the entry tier, with the Gold room sending bets much higher. The atmosphere is properly heavy: a darkened sky bears down on a crumbling castle in the distance, while rock music thumps along underneath. The standout prize is a 600x Premium Dragon.
Features
Powerful Bullet Upgrade
The standard cannon round will get the job done eventually, but it takes a while on the bigger dragons. The Powerful Bullet swaps in heavier ammunition. Each shot now costs 6x your normal wager, but the increased firepower brings Premium Dragons down a lot quicker.
Hour Glass
Sometimes the screen fills up fast. You’ll have half a dozen creatures converging on your position, and though you’re firing as quickly as you can, nothing’s quite connecting. And then an Hour Glass drops into the field. Collect it, and every enemy on screen freezes for a few seconds. It also pays a straight 50x.
Mana Potion
This is a 20x prize that doubles up as a bomb. Collect one, and it automatically detonates, taking out a portion of enemies that aren’t currently on screen, letting you profit from the creatures still waiting to charge in. So you pocket the prize money and clear out incoming threats, too.
