If you enjoy the traditional game of poker, then try branching out with Pai Gow Poker – an American version of the Chinese gambling game. Pai Gow Poker is played with a 52-card deck and a joker.
Go up against the dealer in this strategic table game, where you'll be dealt seven cards upon placing a bet. Divide the cards into two hands: one two-card hand and one five-card hand. When you're ready, the dealer's cards will be revealed. Have the better of both hands, and you win. If you have the better of one hand, the round results in a push.
Rules
Ranks
The hands are ranked according to standard poker rules, except for an Ace-2-3-4-5 straight, which is ranked as the second-highest straight. Also, the best 2-card hand is a pair of aces, and a 2-card hand doesn't allow flushes.
